Following a visit from former NZ Prime Minister, Dame Jacinda Arden, to Japan in 2022, an agreement was signed that led to collaboration with Japan Women’s University (JWU), Air New Zealand, Education New Zealand (ENZ) and ELA. This month we were delighted to have 24 JWU students with us. As part of their course, they spent an afternoon exploring Air New Zealand’s Innovation Hub as well as their head office in downtown Auckland. We were lucky to see future cabin designs and other top-secret prototypes!
We also learnt about the importance of Te Reo (Māori language) at Air New Zealand, and had a Q&A with a Japanese cabin crew member, Shino. Shino is pictured below in the teal (greenish-blue) uniform. The experience finished up with a dinner with the Air New Zealand team on Auckland’s harbour front. Hope we can do it again in the future, thanks so much to Air New Zealand for hosting us!
